Constructed of gilded silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a leftward facing profile of Ernst I circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a monogram of Ernst I with dates 16. September 1826 1906, the obverse maker marked M. HASEROTH, measuring 34. 54 mm in diameter, weighing 18. 9 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in
